Woah, we're halfway there...livin' on a prayer!
Dear Crossover Malawi Family,
We are halfway to our goal of $20,000 for the funding of the mission school in Malawi! We are so thankful for those of you that have chosen to give a portion of what God has blessed you with for this purpose. The families in Malawi are so grateful for your generosity and giving hearts! Not only by your finances has this school been able to break ground, but also by your continuous prayers. Faith can move mountains and prayer increases our faith. Thank you so much for all of your contributions to this mission!
In Matthew 14:13-21, we are told the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. In this story, Jesus heals many of the sick that are in the crowds that have followed him. As the evening approached, the disciples came to Jesus and said, "This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food," (v. 15). But Jesus told them, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat," (v. 16). We go on to read that with only five fish and two loaves of bread that the disciples have, Jesus feeds five thousand people. In verse 20, the Bible says, "They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over," (v. 20). In this passage, we see how Jesus worked a miracle through the disciple's obedience and faith. The Lord takes care of His children and His people. He provides everything that we need to do what He's called. Just like the Lord satisfied the hunger and provided for the five-thousand people, he will also provide every need for our friends in Malawi, Africa. Through our prayer, time, finances, and resources, Christ will accomplish what He has set before us with this mission.
While we are halfway to our goal, in order for the children and young adults in Malawi to be able to go to this mission school, we still need to raise a significant amount more by the end of the year.
