83 Cents a Day Provides Life Saving Care

Dear Friends,

The rainy season has come to Malawi, and while most of the United States is still thawing out from the historic Christmas cold and snow, our friends in Africa are preparing to battle the annual onslaught of Malaria carrying mosquitoes that will be endemic for the whole country from now until early Summer. Yesterday I heard some disturbing news that is going to affect the people of Malawi that you so faithfully support. While their own data is showing Covid-19 is effectively disappearing in Malawi, the W.H.O. has decided to focus their efforts and resources on ensuring that 70% of the population has received the Covid vaccine rather than fighting malaria that has historically affected 25-30% of the population.

This is an area where you have, and can continue to stand in the gap for the people of Malawi. We are praying for a team of 100 new partners who will join us at $25 a month and commit to meet the needs of the medical clinic for 2023! The cost for the Mission to pay doctors and staff, and purchase necessary medication and equipment is $2,500 per month.

When you become a monthly partner at $25 a month, you help provide over 30,000 people in 8 villages in the Migowi region access to:

life saving medication
diagnostic tools and equipment (like PPE, microscopes, syringes and rubbing alcohol)
simple mosquito nets to protect children from deadly infection
salaries for doctors and clinic staff
points of contact for your missionaries to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with many who have never heard.

In 2022, less than 1% of gifts to the mission were from regular monthly partners. Which means most of you gave significant, and sacrificial gifts for major needs last year. Thank you!
