We had an amazing trip in Malawi. This beautiful country was full of people so eager to hear the gospel. While there, we were able to provide conferences in two different villages training pastors, doing women’s ministry, and teaching kids through bible stories. Our hosts were so receptive and God did a beautiful work in the lives of the natives and the team throughout the week.
SHINE’s very own Don Burns was on the trip and was such an asset to the ministry done in Malawi. While there, he shared his testimony with hundreds of men, women and children.
We are so thankful to him and the rest of the SHINE team for everything they do to support Crossover Malawi.
The week before we arrived, there was a massive rainstorm that destroyed some of the roads and flooded others on the way into the village.
The team had to take a boat over the once roads and through that, there was an incredible sense of culture and unity created with the locals. God did a great work and we are in awe. There is still much to accomplish throughout the villages and the River of Life community.
The River of Life Community has 120 enrolled students right now studying trades and working towards a career path in their area of interest. We were able to visit the facility on the trip and this organization is leading a movement in Malawi.
In September, we will be taking another trip to work with this group. The tentative dates are September 6-19. We would love for anyone who feels God’s call to join us either on trip or in partnership how they see fit!
