![]() A Heavy-Hearted Update… Dear Crossover Malawi Family,
Thank you for your prayers and continuous support for our friends in Malawi, Africa. We have been in constant communication with our on-the-ground missionary, Pastor Mark. It is with heavy hearts that we inform you of the current situations in Africa. Pastor Mark has voiced to us that one of the main problematic situations they currently face is happening in their neighboring country, Mozambique. Many Christians and civilians have been brutally murdered, including a fellow pastor that was ministering in Mozambique. On the crusades that have taken place, this pastor and his wife were sharing the gospel in their own villages and towns. Islamic terrorists have been terrorizing Northern Mozambique, and our fellow pastor and his wife in Mozambique fell victim to this, their children left behind. Many children in Mozambique are now left without mothers and fathers. Many mothers are left without husbands and are struggling to provide for their families.
This situation has hit close to home in Malawi. Crossover Malawi and the River of Life organization want to help. We may not have much, but believe in taking care of each other. We have been trying to help the children and women who have had family members killed or displaced. Currently, we are trying to help the pastor’s 3 kids whose parents were tragically killed. The needs that need to be met with the River of Life organization includes helping them get basic needs like food, clothes, and beds. We need humanitarian relief for those affected in the acts of terrorism in Mozambique, and the rescued children. We need to spiritually minister to them by providing Bibles for them. One of the major needs is being able to provide emotional support and prayers for the people who have endured psychological and emotional trauma. The people that are in these situations also need clinical help and one way that can be helped is through the health clinic.
Many people in Malawi are in need of basic humanitarian care. If this situation is speaking to you and you want to help be a part of the change, please click the link below and donate. Please be praying for the unrest happening in Mozambique and for the people of Malawi. Pray that God will give them comfort and peace in this situation and that they will trust in the Lord’s provision. Thank you for all you do for this mission and your continuous support!
